Man suspected of robbing bank in Lincolnwood at large, FBI warns

LINCOLNWOOD, Ill. — The FBI says field agents are looking for a man suspected of robbing a bank in Lincolnwood.Just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, officials responded to the US Bank in the 6600 block of N. Lincoln Ave. Moments earlier, surveillance photos captured the male robber approaching a teller. The male suspect then displayed a note demanding money. Authorities described the suspect as 5-foot-8-inches in height with a medium build. He is also believed to be somewhere between the ages of 30 and 39. PUTNAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 23-year-old man from Putnam was arrested for allegedly fatally injuring a cat. State Police charged Christian A. Nichols with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and aggravated cruelty to animals. Police received a complaint from the owner that their cat was missing and they believed it had been intentionally injured. The cat was located dead with a gunshot wound and other injuries near its home. Investigations determined Nichols, who is known to the victim, fatally injured the cat. During a search of Nichol's home, police located a long gun and an illegally possessed Billy Club. Nichols was arrested in Glens Falls. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police arrested Zach Zeoli, 41, of Troy, on Monday evening following an investigation in the area of 3rd Street and Liberty Street. Police apprehended Zeoli and located an illegal, loaded 9mm unserialized privately made firearm in his possession. CLAYTON, Mo. -- A second teen is wanted in connection with a November 13 killing in Clayton. Darrion A. Johnson, 18, is charged with murder and several other felonies. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that it was the first homicide in the affluent St. Louis suburb since 2006. His bond is set at $500,000, cash-only.Police are still looking for Darrion Johnson. LOUIS (AP) — Prosecution of violent crime in St. Louis is rising sharply in the six months since an embattled progressive prosecutor was replaced by an appointed circuit attorney, according to the prosecutor's office.Gabe Gore said Tuesday that his office has prosecuted 45% more cases than in the same six-month period of 2022, when Kim Gardner was the city's top prosecutor. JERSEYVILLE, Ill. – At least a dozen people are without a home after a fire at an apartment building in Jerseyville, Illinois.The fire took place after 12 p.m. Tuesday at the Jerseyville Manor Apartments, located in the 800 block of South Liberty Street.The fire started in one apartment. Air Force Special Operations Command said Tuesday it has identified the eight service members lost when their Osprey crashed off the coast of Japan last week and was now focused on recovering all of their bodies and the aircraft debris. The CV-22B Osprey crashed on Nov. 29 during a training mission.
