NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Merry Swiftmas, Swifties! A family's house in Naperville has gone viral for their enchanted Taylor Swift holiday light display.Amy Scott and her daughters, Rebecca, 18, and Emily, 21, have been longtime fans of the pop icon. Unfortunately, like many of us, the family did not go to the 'Eras Tour.' But after seeing Swift's concert movie in theaters, the ladies were inspired.Amy told WGN News that her family has been doing huge light displays for years, but this is the first time they would pay tribute to T. Swift. She said the decorating began in early November and ended late last week after her daughters came home from college for Thanksgiving break."We made almost everything. My husband, Brian, is a printer. We thought of and then he created our vision. The girls and I did all the glittering, of course," Amy told WGN.And oh, what a vision! A hotel under construction in downtown Denver and whose exterior is inspired by Colorado’s quaking aspen trees will feature interior designs and furnishings that pay homage to the outdoors and the West. The 13-story Populus hotel by Urban Villages is scheduled to open in the summer of 2024. The Denver-based developer said it intends to build the country’s first “carbon-positive” hotel, which can mean going beyond cutting greenhouse-gas emissions to producing such environmental benefits as generating a surplus of renewable energy.Heather Wildman, principal and design director of Wildman Chalmers Design in Pittsburgh, said the architectural and interior design firm has worked with Urban Villages before.“The good thing about that is we have trust there, which is huge. But we also understood their mission statement and their values, which is highly related to (environmental) sustainability and reverence to nature,” Wildman said.A challenge of the proje...Broncos OLB Nik Bonitto’s patience paid off in fourth quarter vs. Browns. Is he on verge of another hot streak?

The fourth-quarter blast of big plays probably felt like a long time coming for Nik Bonitto. With the Broncos leading by two scores and Cleveland down to No. 3 quarterback P.J. Walker, Bonitto and the Denver front seven revved up the pass-rush engine. He ripped around the left side for a sack on a second-and-11 early in the fourth. On the next play, he nearly forced Walker to fumble but got enough of the ball to ensure a third-and-15 pass fluttered harmlessly to the ground. Then Bonitto capped off the 29-12 win by meeting defensive lineman Zach Allen and dragging Walker down in the end zone for a safety.Bonitto had worked the entire day to chase Cleveland out of their preferred offensive style — being able to lean on a big offensive line and powerful run game — and finally in the end reaped the reward. It’s similar, in a way, to the patience required of Bonitto in recent weeks. He got off to a fast start this season, racking up 5.5 sacks over the Broncos’ first five games. Then the...Family of man shot by CHP officer on 105 Freeway files lawsuit
